Ace Train Celebrates National Train Day by showing Appreciating to Customers

SAN JOSÉ, Calif. – April. 25, 2011 –  Altamont Commuter Express is proud to celebrate  customer appreciation day in conjunction with National train day on May 6th. Whether you are a veteran rider or a new comer, ACE train will be providing free transportation, refreshments, and best of all an easy commute.

Ace train works to provide a quality commute for all passengers. Many of their riders spend a significant amount of time in the trains traveling to and from work so this day is designed to provide them with the best experience and thank them for their loyalty.

“Our riders have been incredibly supportive of the ACE service, some since the very beginning 12 years ago. Offering this free day of travel is one way the San Joaquin Regional Rail Commission can show its appreciation for its passengers, and also show off the train to those who may be considering an alternative mode of transportation to work,” said Thomas Reeves, Manager of Public Affairs and Community Relations.

National Train day, which takes place on May 7th, is a day that commemorates the 142nd anniversary of the first transcontinental railroad. By celebrating this day in conjunction with customer appreciation day, ACE train brings to life the rich narrative of how trains have transformed America while appreciating those customers who continue to use this method of transportation.

ACE’S SUMMER SPECIAL: CALIFORNIA’S GREAT AMERICA FAMILY FUN TRAIN

STOCKTON, Calif. — On June 11, 2011 the Altamont Commuter Express (ACE) train will be running on a special schedule to transport families to and from Great America for only fifty dollars.

The trains will be running throughout the day to promote family unity and create an atmosphere of adventure, unique to the quality of service that riding an ACE train provides.

Parents can be care-free and not have to worry about the long drive, only to arrive at the park having to drive around more looking for parking or paying sky-high gas prices.

“ACE believes in family fun, and that is why we are hosting this event so that families may try something new and spend quality time together doing it,” said Thomas Reeves, Manager of Public Affairs and Community Relations. “ACE life is something we live by and we want to share that with our riders.”

The fifty dollar fare includes a round-trip ticket, an all-you-can-eat lunch buffet, entrance to the park and the opportunity to create memories with those that matter the most.

The station will be running shuttles to take people to the theme park and will return and pick them up.

Later in the summer on August 13, ACE will once again be running special trains to California’s Great America as well as making a stop at Downtown San Jose’s Jazz Festival. This joint train will allow riders to either stop at the theme park or at the festival and includes separate pricing for each event.

ACE TRAIN TRANSPORTS FAMILIES TO JAZZ FESTIVAL OR CALIFORNIA’S GREAT AMERICA

One ticket, one event, one day of fun

STOCKTON, Calif. -August 1, 2011- August 13, 2011 will be a day of music, thrills and memories as the Altamont Commuter Express (ACE) train takes riders to awaiting adventures at two of the silicon valley’s most exciting summer events.

Riders will be given the option to take the special trains running this day to either Great America or the Jazz Festival occurring in Downtown San Jose. For fifty dollars, those who choose to go to Great America will receive a round-trip ride, entrance to the park and an all-you-can-eat buffet. Those wishing to enjoy the Jazz Festival instead have the option to purchase a twenty-five dollar ticket that will also get them a round-trip ride and entrance to the festival.

“Driving is so difficult these days with high gas prices and the added worry of finding parking, that we thought we would look out for our riders and offer them a chance to enjoy themselves without the added stress,” said Thomas Reeves, Manager of Public Affairs and Community Relations.

Families who missed out on June’s Family Fun train to Great America have the option to go once again. Those who aren’t big on roller coasters have the chance to groove to some great music in the heart of the silicon valley.

Transportation from the train station will be provided for both events so no need to worry. The only thing to consider is how much fun is to be had for such great prices.
